As we go through life we create a framework in which to function. Part of the framework is the result of physical laws. Part of the framework comes from our culture and family. Part of the framework comes from our beliefs. This framework is not, and is not meant to be, unchanging. If it were, growth, learning, and improvement would not be possible.
Quite the contrary; change is desirable and necessary to our well being. Change, though, always comes with stress. Stress can be the result of good things happening or bad things happening. Either way, too much stress, too much change, in too short a period of time often leads to physical or emotional illness.
